The Rev. Dr. Eleuterio J. Revollido is an ordained priest of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) and is currently the rector of the Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) in Urdaneta City, Philippines. He is a member of the Commission on Ecumenical Relations and International Affairs of the IFI and the clergy representative to the Concordat Council with The Episcopal Church. A member of the Continuing Committee to the Eight Congress of Asian Theologians (CATS VIII) and the present chairman of the Samahan sa Teolohikal na Edukasyon ng Pilipinas (STEP-Association for Theological Education in the Philippines). He was a participant in the theological discussion from 2006-2008 sponsored by the Old Catholic Church of the Union of Utrecht, The Episcopal Church, the Church of Sweden and the IFI on the issue of Globalization and Catholicity where he contributed some articles on the book published from this conference. He is a social activist involved in many justice and peace issues in the Philippines.Presentation Title: “A Theological History of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente: Journey to the  Ecumenical Vision of Food on the Table, Serving and Sharing.”

 
The Very Rev. Dr. Patrick Tanhuanco is the President and Dean of St. Andrew's Theological Seminary, the premier and only Anglican-Episcopal seminary of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. Dr. Tanhuanco earned his B.Sc. Comm., Cum Laude, from Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines; M.Div. from Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, Canada; and Doctor of Ministry from Denver Seminary, U.S.A. His book, Christian Discipleship: Jesus Christ's Followers, and other writings, are used in various levels of theological education. In consultation with the Archbishop of Canterbury, he was invited to serve as a member of the Theological Education in the Anglican Communion Steering Group 2 (TEAC 2) which is based in London, England, United Kingdom. Presentation Title: "Theological Education in the Anglican Province of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines: Making Disciples of Jesus Christ."


The Rev. Lizette Galima Tapia-Raquel is an ordained deacon of the United Methodist Church. She has two theological degrees, Master of Divinity and Master of Theology, from Union Theological Seminary, Philippines, and the Southeast Asia Graduate School of Theology, respectively. She has been teaching feminist theologies, body and sexuality, ecumenics and contextual theologies at Union for six years. She is also the convener for the Center for Women, Youth and Children. Her articles and bible studies have been published in Union's journal, by the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) and the World Council of Churches (WCC). Presentation Title: “Crying-Out, Resisting, Asserting, Celebrating: The Gospel according to Lualhati Bautista.”


The Rev. Canon Dr. Winfred B. Vergara is missioner for Asiamerica Ministries in the Episcopal Church based in New York City. Recently chosen as one of the outstanding alumni of Trinity University of Asia (Philippines) where he first completed Political Science and Journalism (B.A.,1974), Vergara is also a graduate of three seminaries in three countries: St. Andrew’s Theological Seminary, Philippines (M. Div. 1978); Southeast Asia Graduate School of Theology, Singapore (M. Th. 1986); and San Francisco Theological Seminary, California (D. Min.,1990). In addition, he received an honorary degree (D.D., 2007) from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP, Berkeley, California) along with former Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold and former California Bishop William Swing. He has written several books and articles in both secular and religious publications, including Mainstreaming Asian Americans in the Episcopal Church (2006) and Catholicity and Brief History of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines (2011). He has served as priest in the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (1978-1981); St. Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral of Singapore (1981-1986); founding vicar of Holy Child Church in San Jose, California and Canon Missioner for Asian Cultures in the Diocese of El Camino Real (1991-2004). Presentation Title: ”Transcending Contextual Boundaries: The Neighbor-ological Theology of Kosuke Koyama and Implications for Asia-America Christian Mission.”

Dr Jenny Plane Te Paa is internationally renowned for her pioneering work in bicultural theological education. She writes and teaches extensively on identity politics particularly noting their still deleterious post-colonial effect upon the aspirations and thus potential contributions of minorities. As a lay Maori woman unique in her status as a globally experienced Anglican leader, Jenny has always sought to advocate for the intellectual interests of indigenous peoples, lay peoples and for those traditionally marginalized from the riches of the theological academy. She has taught at St Johns College in Auckland New Zealand for twenty years.  Presentation Title: "Re-thinking Contextual Theological Education – Whose ‘Con’ and Whose ‘Text’?”


Dr. Gareth Jones is principal of Ming Hua Theological College in the Anglican Province of Hong Kong and Macau. He was an Open Scholar at Jesus College, Cambridge, where he was awarded a First in Theology in 1985 and his PhD in Philosophy & Theology in 1988. He received the University Lightfoot Prize and the College’s Eliot & Corrie Prizes for his Finals, and was a Visiting Scholar at Jesus College, Oxford in 1987-88. He was Oxford University’s Bampton Junior Research Fellow at Keble College, from 1988 to 1991, when he succeeded David Ford at Birmingham University as Lecturer in Systematic Theology. He was subsequently Theological Consultant to the House of Bishops of the Church of England (1997-9), in which capacity he also served as Secretary to the Doctrine Commission. After working in Canterbury as Professor of Theology, he also participated widely in theological education in Africa. The author of several books and a number of essays and articles, Dr. Jones continues to write on questions in philosophy & literature and Christian Doctrine. He is married to Nicky, a financial journalist, and has two sons, Daniel (8) and Benjamin (6). Title of Presentation: “Living with Jesus, Living in the Spirit: The New Mission Imperative for Today's Asia-Pacific Anglican Communion"


The Rev. Canon Dr Michael Nai-Chiu Poon is an honorary canon of Saint Andrew’s Cathedral, Singapore and director and Asian Christianity and research coordinator of the Centre for the Study of Christianity in Asia, Trinity Theological College, Singapore. He is an Anglican member of the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission, and a member of the Inter-Anglican Standing Commission on Unity, Faith and Order. He is co-chair of DABOH, the documentation and mission history study group of the International Association for Mission Studies. He previously served in Anglican churches in Macao and Hong Kong from 1984 to 2004. Presentation Title: "Communicating Communion: Contextualizing Amid Globalizing in the Asia Pacific." 


The Rev. Dr. Royce M. Victor is the Registrar and Professor of the Old Testament at the Kerala Unit d Theological Seminary, Trivandrum, Kerala, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Interpretation (Hebrew Bible) from the Brite Divinity School of the Texas Christian University, U.S.A. He has published several scholarly articles in national and international journals and chapters in books, and book entitled Colonial Education and Class Formation in Early Judaism: A Postcolonial Reading (London and New York: T&T Clark, 2010). His research interests are postcolonial studies, contextual interpretation of the Scripture and feminism. Rev. Victor is an ordained minister in the North Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India. He is seconded to this conference by the Fund for Theological Education in South East Asia. Presentation Title: “New Trends in Dalit Theology.”

The Rev. Grace Kanzaki

The Rev. Dr. Sze-kar Wan is an ordained Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Massachusetts, USA, and is currently Professor of New Testament at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, USA. Trained classically as a New Testament scholar, Sze-kar is also interested in such diverse areas as Pauline studies, post-colonialism, political theology, Chinese Confucianism, Chinese Christianity. He is the author and editor of numerous books and articles, including Power in Weakness, a commentary on 2 Corinthians, and The Bible in Modern China (with Irene Eber). Title of his presentation: “Translate to Transgress: A Theological Account of the Chinese Bible.”
